Malaysian International Psychology Conference 2017 (MIPC 2017)

Jointly organized by the Malaysian Psychology Association (PSIMA) and Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology (MSCP), the Malaysian International Psychology Conference (MIPC) will be held on 13-14 May 2017, at HELP University’s Subang 2 campus.


This year’s conference theme is ‘The Psychology of Peace’, and will feature keynote addresses and presentations revolving around diversity, harmony, unity and ethnic relations. Two other main tracks will be the Mental Health track and the Work Psychology track. We welcome submissions across the broad spectrum of psychology-related domains, including, but not limited to:
  • Cognitive psychology
  • Counselling and clinical psychology
  • Social psychology
  • Industrial-organizational psychology
  • Developmental psychology
  • Health psychology
  • Neuropsychology

There will be two formats for presentations: oral presentations and poster presentations.

Oral presentations: Individual or co-authored paper. The duration of an oral presentation is 15 minutes, including discussion time.

Poster presentations
: Individual or co-authored poster. The size of a poster should be approximately and no more than 85cm (height) x 60cm (width)



Word limit for presentation titles: 18 words (in English).
Word limit for abstracts: 150 words (in English). 
 
We encourage empirical papers in all presentations but we also welcome proposals or non-data-driven/non-research papers. If English is not the authors' first language, we recommend that the abstract is checked by somebody who is fluent in English prior to submission. Abstracts cannot be modified once they have been submitted.

*This fee covers both days of the conference, regardless of the number of days the delegate attends the conference. This fee covers registration for the conference but does not include meals. Several food trucks and stalls will be available at the conference venue for purchase of food and drinks.
**Delegates who are members of either PSIMA or MSCP receive discounted rates for conference fees.

Important:
Delegates who are not current PSIMA members can sign up for a one-year PSIMA membership and be eligible for the discounted conference fees. Please download the attached guidelines for registration and payment for further information.
