All Malaysians want to make a significant and positive contribution to our nation. At PSIMA, we want to help Malaysia develops in a way that enriches the lives of all people and brings its diverse communities together.
Our Main Priorities
To work with the Malaysian government to institute registration for professional psychologists which will safeguard the profession of psychology and ensure a high level of service and ethical practice.
To encourage greater cooperation, coordination and partnership among Malaysian universities' psychology departments, of which will raise the standards of academic programs and will encourage more research collaboration in Malaysian psychology.
PSIMA is a non-profit organization that is registered with Jabatan Pendaftaran Pertubuhan Malaysia (PPM-002-10-24031988) . The elected Exco Members came from a diverse Psychology background whose sole aim is to improve the state of Psychology field in the country.
There are various bureaus that are tasked with specific areas that need to be addressed, and we're fully aware that it is a monumental task by everyone involved, including the stakeholders and the Malaysian public.
Jurnal Psikologi Malaysia
JURNAL PSIKOLOGI MALAYSIA (The Malaysian Journal of Psychology) is published by PSIMA in-collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan. It is an international peer-reviewed journal that covers Malaysian researches in various fields of psychology, such as cognition, social psychology, developmental psychology, counselling, education, and industrial and organizational psychology.
